Does it cost me?
You will be expected to pay £5 pounds a month once enrolled and £2.50 a month before enrolment. Some camps and events cost but you will be told the cost when it is known. (Typical
week long Annual camp £50 and weekend camps £15)
Most of your uniform is
FREE but a refundable deposit is required of £15. You will be asked to purchase some things details of which can be found in the
junior cadet pack
What is the uniform?

We have three different uniforms:
- Working Blues - (Right) Worn on a regular parade night, dark blue shirt and trousers or skirt.
- Number 1 Blues - (Left) Worn for formal parades such as Rememberence Sunday etc. light blue shirt and trousers or skirt.
- Soldier 95's - (Centre) Camouflage material worn for most adventure training and concealment excercises.
Most of your uniform is issued
free of charge (£15 deposit required). However you will be required to buy parade shoes, boots and some soldier 95's (depending on what the Squadron can issue you)
What do I get to do?
This question can be answred by looking at the
activities page.
How old do I have to be?
To join the Air Training Corps you must be 13 years old (maximum joining age 16 yrs 9 months) and you can stay in right the way through to your 20th birthday.
Is it just two nights a week?
NO this is far from the truth! Activities are planned for most weekends during the year and you will have the opportunity to take part in camps etc.
